Shoppers Evacuated from Clarksville Mall After Reports of Shooting

Clarksville, TN –

Shoppers were evacuated from Governors Square Mall in Clarksville, Tennessee, on Thursday afternoon after reports of a shooting. According to Clarksville Police, officers responded to the mall at approximately 4:30 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found no evidence of a shooting.

However, they did discover a backpack that contained a gun magazine and ammunition. The mall was evacuated as a precaution, and a search was conducted by police. No injuries were reported.
